The constantly evolving landscape of health care policy presents significant challenges, making it increasingly difficult for those practicing psychology to earn a reasonable living. This PARtalks session will cover the history, theory, and mechanics of billing and reimbursement for diagnostic and testing services in psychology and neuropsychology, as well as discuss ongoing changes in regulatory and legislative policy development. Specific examples of common best practices will be discussed. Additionally, new challenges such as the details surrounding billing add-on codes and emerging policies that may impact the practice of professional psychology will be covered. Online resources and examples will be provided.
