Should My Student Be Tested?

Date: October 6, 2022

Time: 06:00PM - 07:00PM

You must be registered to participate!

Do you know a child or student who is struggling academically and you're not sure what to do next? If you are wondering if some type of evaluation might help but are unsure where to begin, we invite you to join us for a discussion geared toward parents and school/college faculty and staff. We will address which concerns might indicate a need for psychological or educational testing, what the testing process entails, and where to start.

Although most PARtalks sessions are designed for mental health professionals, this session is open to anyone who may benefit. Feel free to share this with your network!

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe two signs that a student might be a good candidate for testing.
  • Understand two types of testing available for students who are struggling academically.
  • List at least two types of professionals who can provide testing.
  • Describe potential outcomes of testing.
