A Tale of Two Cases: Adult ADHD or Not

Date: March 23, 2023

Time: 01:00PM - 02:00PM

You must be registered to participate!

As more information about adult ADHD is available in the public domain, providers report an increase in evaluation referrals for adult ADHD. Confounding factors such as comorbid conditions or symptoms that mimic ADHD can make this process more complex than simply answering the question of whether it is ADHD or not. The most common co-occurring conditions include anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. Without a thoughtful approach, clinicians could potentially overdiagnose, underdiagnose, or misdiagnose individuals, leading to inappropriate treatment recommendations.
This live webinar will provide information on the assessment of adult ADHD specifically for differential diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Two cases will be examined to understand the similarities and differences that help with diagnosis and guide intervention plans

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss options for standard evaluation protocol for differential diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
  • Identify test data to explore for differential diagnosis.
  • Use data to discuss treatment and accommodation options.
