The Assessment of Emotional Disturbance and Trauma in Schools: A Case Study Example

This webinar explores emotional disturbance and trauma and how it impacts children in the school setting. We investigate the structure of the Emotional Disturbance Decision Tree (EDDT) and the Feifer Assessment of Childhood Trauma (FACT) and how to use these assessments. A case study will be presented and will include interventions.

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the history and definition of emotional disturbance (ED) and trauma.
  • Understand the use of the EDDT when assessing for the presence or absence of ED.
  • Use the FACT when assessing the mental health and academic impact of trauma on students.
  • Explore the real-world application of the EDDT and FACT through a case study
