The Fun of Two Languages in Your Pediatric Practice: Bilinguilism in Neuropsychological Assessment

This webinar will discuss recent advances in the research and practice of pediatric bilingual neuropsychological assessment. Bilingual language acquisition and neurocognitive impact will be reviewed. Attendees will gain greater understanding not only of the history of dual-language programs in the U.S. but also will be able to apply knowledge of how children learn to best practices for neuropsychological evaluation. Resources for assessment of bilingual children will be provided.
Learning Objectives: By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
Discuss differences in the development of bilingual children.
Explain the differences among various bilingual education models in the US.
List ways to address bilingual language concerns as part of the pediatric assessment process.
