Psychological Assessment Rounds presented by PAR, October Session: Autism vs Not-ism: Teasing Trauma from Autism

Each month Dr. Peter Isquith will host an assessment rounds with occasional guest co-hosts presenting case studies from both school and clinical perspectives utilizing PAR assessments. This month, Dr. Isquith welcomes Jennifer T. Amato, PsyD, as they discuss a case that addresses questions about the overlap between ASD and trauma and the need for careful diagnosis. Attendees are able to submit cases they would like to see highlighted and reviewed during future sessions.

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Articulate the steps to an evidence-based assessment approach.
  • Identify the rule-in/rule-out criteria for diagnostic questions.
  • Answer the referral questions within both an educational and clinical framework.
