This webinar will discuss the unique challenges of evaluating an individual with a visual impairment. The session will review issues related to test adaptation, test interpretation, and construct validity. Participants will learn how to make an ethical, informed decision about when to proceed with an evaluation, when and where to seek consultation, and when to refer elsewhere.
Learning Objectives: By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
List what types of visual impairments will impact an evaluation and in what way.
Explain how adaptations or modifications to tests can impact their validity.
Describe the boundaries of your competence in assessing individuals with a visual impairment.
